Does anyone know where to find the tool to compress the rear brake calipers on a 2001 Mustang Bullitt (It has cobra brakes)

I think almost any autoparts store will have one. They are pretty generic. I had to grind down 2 of the corners quite a bit to make it fit correctly.

Could always use needle nose pliers to turn em or C clamps to compress em.

Yea, it is like 5$ at Napa for generic one. I think 50$ for the Ford specific part. I just twisted mine in with a pair of channel locks.

I'm not sure if the Cobra's calipers are the same as the GT's, but if so, a generic tool won't work. They have notches that have to be turned as they compress. You can rent the tool for free ($37 deposit) from AutoZone. PITB with needlenosed pliers.

I wouldn't push them in with a pair of channel locks because you could damage the piston. just go rent the tool from autozone or something.

C clamps won't work with these brakes. They have to be twisted.

Channel Locks was used in a pinch, the proper tool is the way to go.
