Hi everyone,

been driving my car for a while now. Just got it 2 weeks ago. whenever i turn right, and then return the wheel to center, i hear a ticking noise from the left rear. When i turn left again, it does not make that noise. Today while i was driving and the sound was coming, i put the handbrake up a little, and the noise stopped. So i think that it is a caliper not releasing. The previous owner did the 4 wheel disc swap. What could be the cause of a caliper not releasing ?

Check the slider pins. You could have one seized up. I have the turbo coupe rear discs on my 86 and I have had that problem alot. I have to grease the pins w/ that special caliper pin lube every few months. If it is seized be careful not to brake it off trying to get it out.If that happens you'll have to get a new caliper cause you can't buy the slider frame seperate
