My rear defrost is not factory installed. Its starting to show age and it makes the car look worse. The last couple strips seem to get slightly warm but none of the others and in fact the vertical strip on one side is starting to peel off so they're not getting anything anyways. I was going to just take a razor blade to it but I decided to do a quick search first and all I found was information on repairing it.
Is the rear defrost comparable to a sticker or is it embedded any in the glass?
I'm not really familiar if these come with the rear glass or are applied later.
Really my question is can I take a razor blade to it and get satisfactory results?
And if so what does it take to have new strips laid?
