rear drum upgrade 11"x2"

guys, has any of you used this kit:
DRUM%20UPGRADE_large.jpg

Master Power Brakes - FORD REAR DRUM BRAKE UPGRADE KIT (8" AND 9" SMALL BEARING)

It's a 11” rear drum x 2"

I currently have a standard rear drum (new), is the 11"x2" that much better compare to a normal drum setup?

I did that in the Mach 1, but used parts from a late 1960's Ford 9" rear. Funny thing is the internals are the same as certain years F-150's!

Check the dimensions on the mounting flange, that is the ticket to see which backing plate will fit on the 9" axle.

Up front I used a disc brake spindle assembly from a late 1960's full-size Ford, and then used a properly sized Master Cylinder to match the new piston area, plus a prop valve to the rear brakes, the car had incredibly better brakes than before, but only the expert eye would notice. Also required 15" rims.
