rear end and wheel problem

:SNSign: Ok my problem is I installed new wheel spacers the real ones. Ok the problem i have is know you can see that the passenger side wheel sets like a 1/4 inch in farther than the drivers side wheel. Ok i was wondering is it the rear or could it be the control arms. Or are they offset from the factory. Anyone have this problem or know how it could be. Thanks Jay

Hehe, my passenger side wheel sits in a full inch more than the other. I noticed it when I put the wide tires out back. I set the rear springs so that the starting coil was set at the same spot, replaced the worn out quad shocks, and inspected everything else I could think of that could possibly cause it. If you find the solution, please let me know. My car has been wrecked a couple times, so I am down to thinking that is the cause, and looking for a never wrecked 94-98 to swap all my stuff into.

The rear "should" be squared in the car and not sticking out one side more than the other. Was the car wrecked? Check for bent control arms, different ride height per side, etc.

I even think you jsut need to look for bad control arm bushings... i could't beleive hoe much my rear was moving around under the car with my bad rubber bushings. I have to say that those bushings were the single best mod I have made....

ok found the problem it was those control arm bushings. They are so shot. So im going to order some upr upper and lower control arms. On the other hand i think that my passenger wheel in the rear looks cambered. im not sure what the heck is wrong with it. thanks jay

Though it aint right as Paul notes, it is quite common on OEM-ish rear suspensions.

Seems to me that the spacers or wide wheels just give us a point of reference with the fender and we notice it more.

When stock, we dont say:

"Hey Bob, does it look like my RR wheel is 10" away from the fender, and my LR wheel is only 9" away?").

New suspension components and the addition of a panhard bar, etc can help locate the rear end (it tends to want to sway).
