Good Morning,

I had my 86 gt inspected over the weekend and the garage told me that my rear end was leaking from the passenger side where the drive shaft enters the rear gear box. I have a picture of where I am talking about and you can view it at:

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn129/coachpete0474/88-rear-end-2.jpg

They said that the bushing in this area was worn and that the passenger side of the rear end was shifting forward. I personally have never heard of such a thing so i wanted to ask you guys if this is a bunch of Bull#$%^ or something to worry about and if so how to I go about fixing it? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

ECM ByPassed on my Intake!

I had my vehicle looked at for a stuttering problem I have been having and have posted in the last couple of weeks. When the tech looked at the vehicle he noticed that the ECM has been bypassed with a hose and had no idea why this was done. I did not bypass the ECM and have only owned the car for three months now but why would someone bypass the ECM??? The tech did show me where it was bypassed and I should have a picture of what i am talking about in a little why to show you guys but i wanted to post the question this morning. My 86 gt does have an inconsistent idle and does sputter when under power but i thought it was just bad gas. Any help is greatly appreciated!

UPDATE- Posted this in the wrong place sorry!

Wow, they shouldn't leak there. It must be bent. Have a ring and pinion shop out a straight bar throught it, straighten it, then have them weld that sucker. I have had two housings straightened, and they are fine. Don't let anybody tell you that it can't be done.
