can i change the rear end gears in my car without taking out the whole rearend? also its an automatic and does not take off well so will 4.10s work, really dont care about comfort just want it to move better.

Yes, you can change the rear gears with the axle in the car. All ya gotta do is take off the diff cover and pull out the gearset.

BTW I wouldn't expect it to move much better with 4.10's. Ever considered a turbo swap?
