I noticed some mustangs have speaker grills on the rear deck. Mine had 6x8's(aftermarket) in the rear but I noticed the sound was really muffled...I thought it sounded like this due to no speaker grills for teh sound to get through. I decided to remove the pioneer 6x8's from the rear and put them up front. They sound great up front but what should I do when I put 6x8's back in the rear? I guess the rear deck has holes driled in from the factory but is covered by the carpet...anybody else noticed this problem if the have the non grill rear deck with speakers installed?

The ones without the rear grilles are non-Mach460 cars. Not really sure what to think of for a way to open it up, other than possibly finding some aftermarket grilles to put over the speakers.

Even the ones with grilles are covered by carpet. Basically, there are slits in the fabric that the grilles hook into.
