With the 9" rears, everyone runs 265 or 275's
With the 10" rears, your looking at 295's with enough room to jump up to a 315 depending on which brand you run.....

I've got 275 35 18 Pirelli P-Zero Nero's on our 2001 S281 18 X 9 Rear Rims and they look Awesome! 285's will work also!

I am currently running 285's on the 18X9' rims. You can easily put 295's on as well. (Rears)My next set will be 295's to protect the rims better. 305's will rub a dub dub. On the front Dont go any larger than 265's as it really makes turning a royal pain. Especially when backing up and turning, not to mention they wear like crap up there when they are that wide.

I too want to go wider and have done the homework. Go with a 305/30 which is rather expensive but will fit better than a 315. Granted, it's only 10mm but evidently it makes a difference. like the other guy said, 315, depending on brand and to me, 305 in any brand. I will probably go with a 315/30 in a drag radial myself although I am going to be careful not to make it look to balloon like....know what I mean? There was a post last week with a guy who has many pics of his with Nitto 315s. Look it up. Personally, i will go with BFG.

Vince.

If you go any larger than the 295-35-18's in the BFG they will rub. I tried on my 00 and 02 S281. BFG's are the widest running tire of the bunch.

The Nitto 305 is not even as wide as the BFG 295. It's just the way it is.

You got that right, my bfg 275/35/18 drag radials are monsters compared to the last set of tires that i had, that were 265, measured with a tape measure they came out 1+ inches wider.

I think the 295's look pretty good on mine. I have the wheel tire upgrade. 18x9's in front with 265/35/18's and 18x10's in rear with 295/35/18's Pirelli P Zero Neros.

Oh man.

She looks great! That's the first set of good pics I have seen with the new bumper and Joe's exhaust. Fantastic!

No problema. Anytime.

Tell me how much better Joe's pipes look over Saleen's whimpy tubes. For sure. You are either firing peas or Grapefruits. I'll take the second!

I have two sets of wheels with two different manufacturers of tires.

Both have 18X10's with 295's, my black wheels have Bridgestone Potenza S02's and my Chrome Saleen wheels have the factory equipped Pirelli P-Zero's.

I just changed my wheels out to the chrome for the first time to see how they would look and I compared the tire width while I had both wheels off.

The S02's are considerably wider and I don't like the look of the pirelli's on the car at all, they look so skinny in the back compared to the S02's. Not too mention the black wheels totally make the car....

my 2 cents
