I test drove a Performance Package v6, and a GT yesterday, and
noticed that it seems the convertibles on the lot had a wider
rear track than the coupes.

At least the wheels came closer to the edge of
the fender. V6 and V8. The brembo equipped coupes
were also wide - maybe not as wide as ragtop GT (the
ragtop GTs were brembo). The Performance Package v6
has the same width wheels as brembro and CS, but the
Brembro seemed wider ... The GT/CS was also "narrow"
like the perf pack v6.

My out the door price on a base v6 perf pack w/appearance is
24480 - GT base is just $4200 more ... but I like the look a
lot more of the wider brembo ... maybe there are some spacers
or something?

New mustang is on the todo list - just went to check out the
new cars - had only driven used 06 up to yesterday.

I'd spend that extra 6k and get a nice equipped GT, but heck if you only looking for cruising the v6 with a few more opts wouldn't be bad either. Only if I could take my own advice  The way I drive a v6 would of fit me good, but what can I say I paid an extra 10K to get that 5.0 badge, and yes I know it's not that much more but I like a mix of luxury with my sport so I got most of the bells and whistles, just not the upgraded electronic package
