I want to switch my rear quarter glass with th 87 - 93 glass.I ran the search engine and it came up with one post saying that only one screw lined up on the swap.Anyone that has done the swap please leave any info that is helpful.I have seen cars here with the swap and it is a very clean look.

personally, on the four eyes I prefer the older 1/4 windows. However, from what I understand, all but one will line up right, and for that one, you simply drill or something. It should be very apparent when you get in there. Keep in mind, with the 87+ style 1/4 windows on your car, you'll have a huge gap on the inner 1/4 panel trim pieces between the trim piece and the 1/4 window. TO do this swap right, without that nasty gap, you'll have to swap in some 87-89 quarter trim interior pieces too.

hey ram360 what part of pa are you from im from eastern pa. i think ya got a cool car and if you like showing it id recomend taking it to the mustang show in wildwood nj (if not to far of a drive for ya) its a cool show on the boardwalk and you get to participate in a parade too

I did the swap about 3 weeks ago. I had one stud that did not have a hole, but did not drill a hole for it. All the holes that were there from the old window were used. As stated in a previous reply, I did have the gap between the window and the interior trim piece and I'm in the process of locating new trim. I also had a exterior trim piece (drip rail?) that I had to take off and shorten. With it on there, the window would not sit flush against the car.

Good luck :nice:

Don't forget that hatches and coupes use different windows.I did the swap a couple of years ago and I think I had to drill one hole. You will find that some of the studs end up inside the window opening next to the window frame so you have to make up some brackets to secure it to the sheetmetal.I made mine out of some of the old window clips. Also go to an autobody supply store to pick up some sealant.

NEPA here (wilkes barre). I wouldn't mind taking it to a few shows. I hoping to get it to the all ford nationals at carisle this year and I wouldn't mind finding a few more events to check out. I'm sure I can get a few cars together for the ride out there. Got any info?
