Rebuild snag!

I have run in to a problem with my rebuild. The stock EGR spacer would not come off of the upper intake. The machine shop used heat and even soaked it in the tank. They had to basically beat it off and its toast. Also, the 4 studs are shot. The throttle body came off with no problem. Ford says that the spacer is obsolete.

So, what are my options, its a SD car and I don't have the funds or desire to convert it to MA.

EGR spacers are a standard item when you buy a new TB. The same EGR spacer fits 87-93 model 5.0's. There is no difference between a EGR spacer for a mass air car and a speed density.

Jegs' price is $50. A junkyard may be able to supply one cheaper.

If you live in the greater Orlando area, I have a stock one I will give you. It's nasty & a bit corroded, but still serviceable.

Hey thanks for the offer. Thats a nice gesture. I just might take you up on that. I am on the westcoast, but my engine is in Kissimmee right now. So coming up to Orlando is not a problem.

What I meant by not wanting to covert to MA, was if I had to go with another intake setup that would require a larger TB, and thus possibly upsetting the SD system. Not interested in going carbed at this point either. I am old school, but love being able to turn the key and go!

Isn't that hi-flow spacer too big to use with the stock 60mm TB?

If you need new studs I thinkg Trick Flow just came out with a stud and gasket set. Or you can just find a junk yard car and get them off of one.
