I've decided on rims, now just have to decide on tires/sizes. Tires I am looking at are the Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season and the Toyo Proxes 4. Does anyone know how these tires measure? I know my Nittos run extremely small, just curious if these two measure true or not. Thanks for any input.

you can find the tire sizes from both companies at their respective website.

for example, a 245/45 17 tire the goodyear f1 all season measures 9.6" wide and 25.7" in diameter. the toyo proxes 4 in 245/45 17 measures 9.8" wide and 25.7" in diameter.

To get the width... divide the first number (in mm) by 25.4 for inches. Then multiply that by the second number by the number divided by 100 (45 is .45) to find the tire height (ratio aspect).

245/45 - 17

is 9.64" wide by 4.34" high. On a 17" wheel.

I have looked at what the tires SHOULD measure, just not sure if they actually do. For example, my Nitto 555's should be 9.64 inches wide (245/45/17), but I'd say they are right at 9. Some tires are known to run small or big. I've heard BFG"s run wider than they are suppose to.

Im not exactly sure how wide my tires are, but i do like the toyos i have (255-40-17). They are the Proxies 4 which are among the few tires allowed in either D1 GP or Formula Drift, cant remember. They are definitely a good tire for the money. I didnt have the money for the T1Rs when i got them. Never had goodyears so i dont know about them. Im sure you will be happy with the toyos though.
