Hi,
Does anyone have any recommendations as to a reliable online retailer for buying an HID kit for an ’04 GT? I would like to buy a kit but have read enough reviews on these retailers to be very cautious about giving them my money. Anyone have any success stories about good, reliable service/FIT!/warrantees/ return policies/prices? I’d like to make my purchase this week and any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'm about to order a set of 6k from ddmtuning.com. I have a friend with a Mazda six, who installed 'em and really likes them. He has been running them for around a year he said. Everything he ordered, he got. Said it was a plug and play set up. Convinced me, they look like quality pieces. I am sure someone else will chime in with a good recommendation.

ddmtuning.com is awesome! I would highly recommend them

I've been running HID's for my headlights and fogs in my mazda and headlights in the mustang from them for a while and love them. Plus they come with a lifetime warranty!

If you order this kit for the Mustang do you need any of the extra equiptment they offer? And how easy is this kit to install?

@mike78033- If you get this kit let me know how it goes! I've been considering HID's myself but haven't seen them this cheap!

yeah

ddmtuning is your best bet....please don't go out and buy a 200+ dollar kit that is in a fancy case to make it look worth it.

Btw install is easy...it's basically just like changing your light bulb with just a few more connections....once you get the kit you will see immediately how easy it is once you begin the install.

I was curious if I needed any of the extra equipment they offer as well, like the hid harness, error elemonator or the adaptor cables? Also, the 35 watt is just fine, correct? Lastly, will I need a new set of headlight housings? Any experiance with the one piece projector headlight housings?

I don't have projectors and haven't been flashed once in over 1 year of having them...I do have blue oval smoked headlights though which is still not projector... I think it's ok if you aim them right.

I second that, I had DDM Tuning HID kit and people constantly flashed me. I only had the 6000k bulbs and had them pointed to the ground a much as I could. I loved them but I decided that if ppl can flash me and I cant flash them back Im not going to have them... Now Im one of those ppl that flash ppl with HIDs that dont have projector lights...

Hids do help a lot at night out in country roads though thats for sure. I just would buy the projectors if I bought them again.

Oh yeah, I'm getting projectors but I need a non ricerish set of projectors.. what do you all think is less richish? The one piece or our regular 2 piece? I want a one piece but I don't want halo's or those Audi like blue led lights on the bottom of the housing. Also, to help lessen the blow, should I go with smoked projectors? If so.. anyone know where to get a set of housing at? Also, any idea if I need the additional stuff for the 6k kit I asked about in my last post?

you don't need anything additional...some cars do but I know my mustang didn't....that is unless you want hi beam hid's as well.
