Yes, but it wasn't a home built jobber. It had to be moved around with the Roush intake setup. It's currently residing in the airbox in the back of the engine bay.

Lengthening the harness isn't that big of a deal and I think I have the Ford part number for the extension somewhere. I'm out of town right now but can look it up when I return.

Reading the intake temp isn't as big of an issue as reading the airflow (i.e the MAF). If the IAT sensor is in an area of air turbulence, it's no loss to performance. The key is going to get the sensor in a position that accurately reflects the drop in temp from the alcohol injection. This means you need to give the alky some room to drop the temp before the IAT reads it.

What I would suggest is placing the injection manifold within a few inches of the discharge of your huffer. The air is still fairly turbulant here and it will aid in mixing the alky and dropping the temps faster. I'd then place the IAT at least 6"-8" from the injection but not too close to the TB. I don't know how long the discharge tube is, but I wouldn't place the IAT any closer than 3" from the TB. Hopefully, the tube length will allow you to properly seperate everything.

Depending on what discharge tube you're running (plastic or metal), I'd just weld or epoxy a bung into place to accept the IAT. The main issue is actually getting the thermocouple into the airflow. If it's recessed into a cavity, your readings will be error ridden.

Yea weld in the AIT to the location closest to the throttle body.

Such as aproxmntly, 8-10inches away.

This will give the reading more precision... as it monitors actual temps going INTO the engine, rather than THRU it.
