I've been reading all the post about removing the rear spoiler because it looks better and causes drag. Anyway two days ago i had some 275x40x17's put on the rear, and it looked better but not drastically. Then about two hours ago i said uuck it and removed the spoiler, man this brought my car all together, very clean lines. The biggest improvement is looking at the car from the rear, man it looks so fat and mean without the spoiler and those crisp clean lines, this makes the car look easily 5 inches wider. I'm so glad i took the chance on this almost free mod, the only i had to buy were trim fasteners to fill the holes in the trunk lid. I just need some advice from all of you that have performed this mod how can i make sure that the holes want leak. I don't know of anyone to trade a v-6 trunk for mine so i'm stuck with this one problem. Anyway i couldn't be happier, i can't wait to go to the track i'm sure this will increase my time atleast by .02 tenths of a second because of lesws drag. :D

i did mine a few days ago :nice:

i used little black plastic plugs from pepboys and this weekend i am going to paint them using some touch up from the dealership

it looks so much better IMO, the lines are really clean and i agree, it looks wider :D

Did you clay bar all the crap from around where the pedistals were? We need to start Team Pep-Boys Racing, cause those parts are getting hot. :nice:

Hey thanks for all the info guys on how to seal off the holes, i wish i had a digital camera and i could show everyone how great this helped my car in the looks dept. I just like to know how do i remove all the residue where the spoiler was. I've used scratch remover and wax but still some residue towards the back of the trunk.

good to go.. that should be 1-2mph more on the trap speed.. silicone can be used in conjunction of your plugs.

Not the greatest angle/quality, but I personally like the look. That black trip panel between the tail-lights makes the car look even lower/wider. My car being plain white, I found some white electrical tape to cover the holes(temporarily), and then i siliconed the underside of the holes. Been no leaks for 3 months. Im trying to find someone with white V6 to swap out parts, but having no luck.
