Hi guys, im removing a 351 with a fmx automatic transmssion, the motor is seized and cant turn the flexplate. Any ideas on removing the motor, should i seperate it and just let the torque converter leak out he fluid? Should i try to remove motor and tranmission together? Any ideas i dont want to ruin my torque converter or transmssion. Thanks

Yes, drain the tranny and separate them. If you keep the engine fairly level there wont be much fluid pouring out. You could also pack a rag in the converter

You'll have to use a little muscles to separate them, or a little prying but do it evenly and you'll be fine

Yeah ,not a problem .Just separate them but put something under the bell housing to catch the fluid .It will not be a lot but a little goes a long way when it spills on the ground .stuff a clean rag in the converter before you pull the motor ,when the motor tips up in the front is when you will get the most fluid .
