Removing an engine from a car

How difficult is it to remove an engine from a car, while doing this is there anything that i should look for and/or becareful with. How long to you think this will take 3 people to do? and will I need any speical tools or than an engine jack? Any advice is helpful. thanks

Make sure and mark all of the electrical connectors and vaccum connections so you know where they go. It also helps if you have some beer and know plenty of cuss words.

Im not putting the engine back in the car im taking it out of, Im puting it in another car. So is that still necessary. i know ill need all the wiring harnesses

its easy just remove cables,wires,hoses,unbolt motor mounts,exhaust,and trans.

use pull brackets on header if none use a chain wrap around intake manifold and pull from there.

I just rip **** out and ask questions later... Though I've done it quite a few times, so that helps.

Well what exactly are you doing here???

In some cases you can totally cut everything off thats attached, if your swapping motors, sometimes, which makes it so much easier... Explain what your doing..

Well the '89 is a 4 banger, so you'll pretty much need all of the '79 parts. So don't go hacking to much...
