What's the best and most paint friendly way to remove all that crap that soap, sponge, and elbow grease just won't get rid of. The worst spots are the front bumper and the rear quarters right behind the tires.

I use Honda Spray Cleaner & Polish. You can get it at any motorcycle store. After washing I walk around the car and use it for any spots or grime the wash didn't get off. It also works great on plastic, metal, chrome, leather, just about anything. Its all I ever used on my motorcycles and for cleaning the interior of my cars.

I'm in Frederick, Md and I noticed you're right over the bridge in Va. Where do you get your work done? I used to go to Springfield Motorsports but that's a bit of a haul for me now. Where do you race? I'm a bout 4 miles from 75-80.

That Honda spray is awesome... it's also known as S-100 or HondaBrite.

For those looking to use something that's in the house, try Lemon Pledge. Awesome on paint, windows, etc... Yes, I said Lemon pledge.

Have not raced anywhere yet and so far have done all the work myself. I am looking for a quality shop for some future work, but everytime I hear something good about a shop I also hear something negative.

This will sound crazy, but baking soda and water. Mix it up so it's a little bit soupy, wipe most of the bugs right off. For the more suborn ones scurb al ittle, don't scrub too hard and use a washcloth to do it. Do this BEFORE you wash the car.

I just use regular ole' tar and bug remover. There are two things to help you though.

Make sure the car has a nice wax on it, this really helps.

Let the bug remover sit for 5 or 10 minutes to work bettter.
