I've read up on it and I know there will be holes in the body to be filled.

My question is this though, if I remove the GT kit which is all in excellent shape whats the odds of me being able to sell or trade the bumpers and molding for lx bumpers and all the stuff required?

I like the gt look but I feel limited as to what they look like, an lx hatch looks amazing with some skinnies up front and fattys in the back, which is the look I want, just cant do it with a gt.

I dont want to sell my car just because its registered in NC and I live in CA and it will never pass smog with my set-up.

Man, I would trade out the rear GT bumper for a '93 cobra replica bumper and call it a day. Throw a cobra wing on when you get extra cash, and just let it be what it is. Then you arent filling holes, and the cobra body kit looks killer with an aftermarket hood and wheels if you can pull that off at a later date.

I think your right, it would be easier and would look really good. I hate that my exhaust pipes are turned down behind the rear bumper atleast with the cobra I could have some tips, I think it changes the sound drastically rather bouncing off the ground. And I can make money back from selling the factory wing and bumper.

Yep, some nice 3" pipes look killer IMO. Now with the drag look, the body kit doesnt blend so well, but its just awesome on a street car.

My GT is turning to an LX. Started with the back bumper as the old one the previous owner had holes cut for the exhaust tips.... yeah I know.... Anyways, then I removed the side skirts. Drilled out the brackets and next is the nose. Luckily I already have all the LX stuff. I love the simple, clean look of the LX. However, holes will have to be filled.
