What do you guys think about running lx tailpipes under a GT bumper? The one thing I never liked about my Fox is how it has no exhaust in the back because of that low GT bumper. I’ve seen a few foxbodies on Instagram now and I kind of want to try it. What do you guys think?

I feel like straight tips would have to point downward to clear the bumper. And definitely don’t cut holes in the bumper (I’ve seen some) IMO that looks tacky.

I think the GT bumper just looks good with the ‘hidden’ tips that are OEM. Or even dumps just to get rid of the pipes completely.

However this is just my opinion, we all do stuff someone out there won’t like.

Agree. I thought LX tailpipes did not fit with the GT rear valance.... that they ended up pointing at/into the valance. Or am I mistaken?

+1 on the Cobra rear valance if you are going to do it. GT valances look awful with exposed pipes.

Yea... what he said!

+4 or so on the 93 cobra valence. The GT rear valence never looked right to me the way it flares out at the back. Kill two birds with one stone with a cleaner rear end and nice tips.

Yea I always thought that too until I saw those cars in my first post and I guess it is possible to run them low under the valance.

Yea I’ll probably just get a cobra rear bumper and maybe the spoiler too

The first and fourth pics don't look like LX tailpipes to me. However, the second and third pics do look like LX tailpipes.... so maybe they do work with a GT bumper.

I like that plan. :nice:

I am pretty sure they are not meant to be affixed to the car with screws. You use adhesive to attach it and I believe you need an LX bumper cover and not a GT. As far as I know this is the only option. I would post up in the paint and body section as I am sure someone in there can answer better than me.

The 1993 Cobra rear bumper covers are a complete replacement and work with the existing GT side skirts.
