Removing interior paint.

Hey guys,the jackass who owned my notch before me decided to paint the gray console and it came out dark gray and doesnt match anything. I was wondering if there is anything that will remove the paint off the console but not mess up the original smoke gray plastic coloring,i tried paint thinner on a small piece and it didnt do anything.

Cheapest and easiest option is replacing the console. It will also give you the best results.

i think i heard someone say they sprayed some painted interior parts down with brakleen, which made the paint lift, then hit it with a powerwasher who knows if that will work though

brakleen seems to be the "duct tape" of the fox mustang world haha

i'd also recommend maybe just looking into a new console on ebay or other classifieds, good luck

In the past I have used oven cleaner to strip layers of paint off old model cars. It would strip the old paint off, and was safe enough that it wouldn't even distort, warp, or discolor the plastic. May be worth a shot.
