removing my emissions stuff

i am really thinking about removing my emissions.. i have my EGR cut.. but i plan on completely removing it.. i also wanna remove the air pump and all the other things.. but i dont really wanna have my check engine lights on.. also w/ removing the the air pump.. ill need a new belt, i guess i need the specifics on the size of belt and ect.. thanks

i dont know how many codes u would throw because my friend has a 89 no cats no air system and no codes unless his light is out thew sell delete kits for alot of things relating to emissions and depending on your year pre 96 there was no certain rules on throwing codes so alot of things could be deleted with no problems

they only thing that will set of the check engine light is the egr.

as for the belt size i don't know. if your willing to delete the a/c and smog than it is 79 or 80 inch belt.

when you say you left it just hanging in the engine bay, did you do the whole half open thing? I don't understand it totally, but i guess there's a plate or something that you need to hole half open, which keeps the light from going on? I'd like to try the free route first, lol. i'm dutch.

Free route... first remove your egr stuff..and where it goes into the head.. plug that whole..then where the egr unbolts from the ntake... gets some metal cut it to the shape and bolt it so there's no air leak (im assuming that you all have actually looked under the hood and know where im talking about) ...n e ways... theres a plunger that is in the wiring part that you disconnect from the egr...make the plunger stay halfway plunged to keep the CEL off... use a clear cap from the gumball machine things with toys in them... just somehow keep the plunger halfway down.
