Hey guys, Ive seen two cars already without tensioners. Just wondering do you need it? What would you have to do to remove it? I want my car to look like this.
fox racer said:Look at the March stuff at summit. they have a kit similar to that. But if you still have PS and A/C its gunna be pretty expensive. The alt/water/crank is cheap enough.

TheSlowLX said:I deleted my tensioner last week when I installed the new alternator. I did cut the alternator bracket and had to make a small bend on the a/c one. I bought the tension rod at a local Tractor Supply store for around $7. Its adjustable and works really well, and easy. Here are some pics.

Curse said:If you only have the alt, wp and crank then the tension rod doesn't look bad. If you have the ps/ac, the belt going from one side of the motor to the other with nothing to break it up looks wierd IMHO.
