In the on going pursuit of appeasing CA emmissions requirements I need to remove my timing adjuster. Since I didnt put this thing on my car, I really dont know whats involved in removing it and returning the ignition system to stock. So, my questions are as follows:

1. Will i need a different cranck bolt? I seem to remember hearing that the one that came with the timing adjuster is longer than stock.

2. If I need a new bolt were do I get it? Whats the part number or size of the bolt?

3. What do I d about the crank trigger? Does the TA use the stock trigger, just moved to a different spot? Or, do I need to go to Ford and get a replacement trigger or something else?

CA is a pain in the a$$, but I guess this dilema is also at least partially my fault.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

You will need a new crank bolt, the steeda is longer, a Ford dealer should be able to provide the part number for you. Below is a link to Steedas site with instructions for installing the T/A, so you can see how everything was installed. Just go to "News & Tech Articles" and then look for "Installs & Instructions".The T/A uses the stock trigger so you should be able to put everything back to its original location. http://www.steeda.com/

I don't get it. Why do you have to remove the TA for emissions control reasons? As StngStr said, adjust it back to stock timing and it will be the same as taking it off.
