Didn't want to hijack another thread, so, can aluminum radiators be repaired,(welded)? I don't see why they couldn't, but Eleanor_350 was worried about replacing one and I thought I would ask.
Just about any shop that deals with late model radiators can fix her up. Several years ago I dropped a screw driver into the fan (that was turning) and it went through my new aluminum radiator.
It was repaired and no problems since at the track.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, JB weld will fix most radiators. I have used it to repair both aluminum and copper and has still held up after years of abuse.
Just use a wire brush as if you were going to solder it then drop some JB on there and let it sit for an hour. When the radiator gets hot it will help the JB weld cure even more.
