hey guys;

i drive an 88 GT. while at the local drag strip one of my original heater core hoses popped. i took both of them off and went to the local auto parts stores to get replacements: O'Reilly's replacement hoses were pretty far off in shape. AutoZone's hoses were closer, but would still be a lot of trouble to get to work.

i then went to the Ford dealer and they said that Ford quit selling those items, and that i should try to find them "aftermarket or something" according to the parts counter guy.

has anyone here ever ordered replacement heater core hoses from someplace online and had good luck with them fitting like they are supposed to? if so, i would appreciate the contact info for a good supplier.

thanks,

-ungarata

I got some OEM Ford hoses, with the flow restrictor for Mustangs, from LRS. That was four years ago, so I dont know if they have them anymore. You might just have to trim the parts store hoses (I'm guessing they would be longer than stock) and transfer your old restrictor to your new hose.

I got my set a couple of years ago from Tommie Vaughn Ford, the Motorsports dealer here in Houston. Might try www.fastpartsnetwork.com too, they are good at getting hard to find parts and are reasonable also, if 5.0 resto - LRS or PPI doesn't have them.

I used Autozone hoses, never had a problem with them and they've been on for like 5 years so far.
