Replacing Ignition Lock Cylinder

Vic, did you actually turn the lock all the way to 'run'? If it's not there, the pin can't be pushed in.
If it still wont work, try wiggling the lock back and forth (just shy of 'run' and just past) while pushing lightly on the pin. It might decide to go for ya.

Good luck.

Yes sir. I had it in the run position and the pin went in easily. It just won't budge. Assuming that the ignition is the only diff key, I'm starting to think that whoever replaced it prob jammed it in wrong or something. I'll try it again tomorrow.

Thanks hissin

Vic

Well, I got my new lock cylinder today. I guess I dont have an A key code, since the cut on the key looks nothing like mine....Oh well I never use the key to open my door locks anyways so thats that.

On a side note: vp6799 the lock cylinder might be hanging up against the steering column shroud. Try loosening the screws (2 on bottom and 1 on top left) around there and fiddling with the shroud while yanking out... I had to do that with mine as the plastic around the lock cylinder hole was slightly off center and catching the cylinder on its way out. Stupid ford tolerances....:p
