I want to replace the multifunction switch but can't figure out how to remove the panel beneath the steering column. I can't take the console shrouds off that surround the switch without taking the panel below them off. I found two screws but must be something else. Any help? Thanks

Remove the two (5/16 I believe) bolts from the bottom edge of the knee panel.
The plastic knee panel can now be pulled away from the metal backing, its held on by a couple clips, just pull at the edges.

The metal backings is held on by a couple more 5/16 bolts.
Remove those and the metal backing will come right off.

Seems like that is awfully hard to do. I'll try.

Thanks
