respraying taillights

The inside of my taillights are filled with dust from previous chrome(?). They are dull and need some brighting up!

If I were to respray them with a chrome paint, what would you suggest?

Yea, chrome paint works great. I haven't tried it on my tails yet, but I did it on my third brake light and my fathers 69 Torino tail lights. I was suprised how much brighter the lights were after treating them.

I did metallic silver inside of my old truck lights. Wow what a huge difference.

it just so happens that i have a can of dupricolor chrome sitting in my garage.. hurray!

i just used some metallic silver paint i had laying around, now i wish i tried the chrome. i guess it doesnt matter since i have LED's, but i'd still like to try it anyways.

you have LED tails?? did you make them yourself??

i assume bloop meant led bulbs, which i tried once but they only lit a tiny dot in the middle lol....which got covered by the bar on the cobra tails...

just LED bulbs, since i have clear LX tails. regular bulbs aren't bright enough, and i'm not sure if they even make regular red bulbs.

I ran LED taillight bulbs in my '03 GT for some time. Even though i have clear plastic, the LED's weren't as bright as the normal bulbs. I took them out and only left them in my reverse lights. Same deal. Even though they are 22-LED bulbs, i can't see jack **** when i back up. But it looks cool as hell
