Rim conversions for ealier models?

I was thinking about putting some new 17" rims my friend has onto my 65, but I after getting al excited about the idea I remembered that they wouldn't slip on so easy without some type of modification. Then I also realized I don't know anything about it . One of my brothers friends whose pretty car suave says thats it's easy but I didn't get any more information out of him. So if anyone has any info on how to do this correctly (or how you've done it ) it'd be much appreciated. thx

from what ive heard, if they are late model mustang rims, u need a spacer to make them fit correctly, as far as anything else, depending on the tire, u may need to roll the fenders
