Boyds = "Bling Bling"
I've seen lots of pictures online of cars with Cobra Rs but none in real life.

the Cobra's look more muscle car to me, the others look a little ghetto imo... not a fan of chrome rims either...

There is a guy locally with a 94/95 that I have seen with the Smoothies. It looks good until you get up on top of it and the finish on the wheels look like crap. I have also read other cases on here about the finish being hit/miss. Either you get lucky and get nice looking ones, or they are dull-looking.

I'd go for the Cobra R's just for quality reasons. Even the aftermarket versions have a pretty good reputation.

What is "muscle car" about a 5 star rim

To me the smoothie are a new take on the torque thrust. That is more muscle car.

I would get the boyds between those two. Cobra wheel is a stock mustang wheel. Nothing really original or new there. it has be done by 10,000+ other people.

The same can be said for the 03 Cobra wheels as well, yet I haven't seen any non-03 Cobra in my area with them, except my GT.

I think the reason for that is because most of us has seen so many Mustangs w/Cobra wheels on the internet. However, those mustangs represent a very small percentage of stang drivers overall.

And I'd choose Boyd's if they came in chrome. I understand they're only available in polished, which I don't like. So my vote goes for Cobra R.

How much did yours run up the bill? I hope to find some 17 inch saleen replicas but the ones I have seen reach about 200.

I got mine when they first came out for $1,200 I am sure they can be found for allot cheaper now. but that was allot cheaper than the $2,200 for the real deal. My only regret is that I wish I would have waitied about 6 months longer and gotten the 18x10's for the rear.
