I've had engine together for a few hundred miles, pulled a valve cover just to see how things looked. Sweep on valve tips is a little wide, by about 30 thou. I was on the edge on pushrod length between 6250 and 6350, the Trick Flow tech line suggested go with the longer option. The valve train is a little noisy, I expected that, but probably made worse by the longer sweep? 3/8 studs with 3/4 turn of preload, thinking the valve train would be quieter.
Anyway, I'm going to remeasure for pushrod length and I think it will indicate shorter, (like 6250 like I wanted in the first place!), and then use only 1/2 turn of preload. I'm now thinking that 3/4 turn is excessive, and didn't keep the noise down anyway.
