Stock pushrods should be just fine...crame magnum lifters get my vote...actually any stock replacement will do nicely for what your doing.

Thanks Bro!!!

Stock push rods will work for aluminum heads? SWEET

Now that I think about it- the Ford GT40 X are made to be a bolt on stock replacement

So I'll have enough clearence?

What about the springs... I've heard I'll be pushing 510 lift... is that bad for the springs that come on the GT40-X heads???

Not sure...check with Rick81GT on the spring or FMS tech on the lift. I would look at maybe a hardened push rod, the aren't much more money than stockers..and or get your stocker looked at prior to install to make sure they be straight.

Just out of curiosity, what made you decide to go with 1.7's over 1.6's ?

Strypey, FMS roller lifters from summit are like $100, you can get FMS hardened pushrods from summit too for like $38, and the springs on our GT40X's are good to .550 lift have fun

They are stock replacement hardened for guideplates too. Those are pedestal mount rockers on GT40's right?

The lifters will work. I have them in my motor now. The rockers are pedestal mount so the stock length pushrods should be ok. You could always check for proper pushrod length but I don't think it should be necessary.

Let me know how all of that works for you. im very curios about the 1.7's. i have just read alot about how anything over a 1.6 can cause pre-mature wear on certain parts in the head. might be all hear-say, but i would like first hand experience if you ever run into any problems
