roll bar opinions

Not if its a fox, then it should be the brakes

Fox brakes in proper working order aren't that bad for regular driving.
It's the spirited driving that kills them, they overheat pretty easy.
But if you aren't driving like a menace on the street it's really not an issue.

Back in the day they tested the stock fox brakes vs the baer kit.
The baer kit only stopped 10ft shorter for the first 3 heavy stops.
Then the gap grew quickly.

Road race with stock brakes? No.
Driving normal with them is fine. If you overheat them while driving on the street, you are probably pushing your car too hard and driving dangerous.

looks like the roll cage is out......

although i really like the wheelie bar and parachute idea :nice::D

maybe if i take off the right vacuum line, i can make it idle rough enough that it will sound like it's cammed as well :D

Most people know what a cammed motor and a crappy running motor sound like. Get a solid plan together and really decide what 95% of the cars duty is going to be. You can take a daily car and wreck it's ride trying to make it a awsome track day car. you can have close to both w/o killing it and your wallet and has you gain experience and get to know the car and it's limits you add and change stuff. get the basics going and build it from there.

I know guys that have been handed thier hat buy a lesser car and get pissed because they have the best of this and that but yet what beat them was pure driving skill by the other driver. Trust me I have done this myself and have gotten wiped of the map also.
