I would like to add that there is only 1 DOT approved harness if you plan to have it on the street, Scroth make it.
The Kenny Brown or the bolt in Maximum Motorsports with swingouts would be your best bet. The rear back bar is intrucive but you can get around it if needed.
sorry Rick. didnt mean to annoy you there... Thats just a crazy setup. But if your runnin mid 7s. You can have any damn type of cage you want. lol Cuz thats about half of my 85gt's times... haha.
About that rear seat mount. That looks to be a good idea. And the rollbar cross brace runnin about the height of the rear seat is a good idea too. Good Luck.

roll cage has to have the cross bar to be NHRA legal, but is not required until you go quicker than 11.5. Maximum motorsport has them, they are bolt in and legal, and come with swing outs. The bars mentioned without the cross bar are not legal for nhra or ihra competition.
are swing out doors nhra legal? wat about say the kenny brown? i looked at the 6 pt cages for some time and wondered if swing out door were legal...or the low bars neer the door like on kenny brown
alright Rick. Just didnt wanna come across as an azzhole. lol. I have a friend who is the NHRA saftey man at Gainesville Raceway here in Gville Fla. He knows everything NHRA and is actually employed by em. So if there are any sticky aspects here I can always ask him next time I see em and get back to ya.

so would it be legal to make the back bar removable? That would help so much when trying to put a passenger in the back seat without trying to slide a low mounted cross bar past the tech guys....
