I am a simple girl that loves her boyfriend. My boyfriend loves his car. I need help finding him the right car parts to make him happy this christmas! ANYONE PLEASE HELP! He has a highly modified 1986 5.0 (below is a list of his mods)

He has mentioned that he desires to get AFR 165 heads, a cam, roller rockers, a rear tie rod, lifters, and pushrods

He runs a 12.46 as is but wants to run in the 11s. What can I do to make his car faster?

His mods:

1999 Explorer shortblock
Ported E7 heads w/1.6 RRs
E303
70mm TB
24lbers
Performer RPM manifolds
3:73
Tremec 3550
Eibach Springs w/airbag and Tokico/Koni
SSM lift bars
76mm C&L
Bassani Longtubes w/ o/r x-pipe
Borla XR-1 Dumped Mufflers
Centerlines w/MT ET Streets
3140lbs w/me
[email protected] w/ a 1.74 60'
Best 60' was 1.68
Dynoed at 270hp/306tq SAE

in the list of mods it says he already has roller rockers...if you were gonna get him something reasonably priced i would go with a cam,it should help a little being that he has ported E7 heads.jmo

he wanted to upgrade his roller rockers. he is always buying parts he already has trying to make it faster. so should i search cam shaft? what exactly should I type into the ebay search bar? I know i'm silly but I don't want to **** anything up.

Srothfuss nailed it -- he will quite literally be 'the kid on Christmas morning' when his honey presents him with a certificate he can spend on his car. It doesn't get any better than that.....well, it does, but you might be able to help him with that gift too. :)

Merry Christmas...

Look in that mod list again; South Side lift bars = control arms, so thats out.

what is sause?
I think, think he meant "sauce" which I think refers to nitrous oxide these days. That or get him some liquor .

I hate to say it, but as far as performance parts go, he already has nearly every generic performance part he needs. If you want to spend $1300, get the Air Flow Research 165 heads he wants. I dont recommend picking out a camshaft for anyone else.

At this point, the Summit gift certificate or a Visa/Amex gift card is really the safest option.

Something that comes to mind if he doesnt have one already and really likes to drag race his car, a "line lock" or "roll control" would be handy. They are usually $50-100 and he probably wouldn't be expecting it. (it locks up only the front wheels so you can do a burnout without wearing down the rear brakes).

You kids sound like a group of homo's redoing a house on the Learning Channel or something, its so cute. "I think he should get this and get some matching"...."Oh no, go with the gift card its perfect"....."Oh shush, he means panhard bar!"...."I'll panhard you"."Oh please". LOL.
Ok, done being silly. I think the gift card is a wise choice, but again Yount beat me to it; what is your budget? Your man has a good list of mods and he've covered about everything so its hard to choose. I try to choose parts I havent modded yet since its more cost effective. Your not really getting much bang for buck if your just moving up to the next slightly better replacement part. The only 3 things I can think of that he could use are NOS, power adder or heads. Anything else is going to be a small if nothing gain. And depending on your budget, the power adder and heads would be way too expensive. So the only thing I'd consider is the nitrous or accessory products like an aluminum driveshaft or billet interior parts, or new head lights or some car speakers. Those are easier to shop for and nice to have, but they wont necessarily make the car go faster. Find out if he wants to stay naturally aspirated or N/A, and then go from there. If he's mentioned a power adder or NOS then go with the bottle. You can pick up a new kit for less than $400.
But to be honest, the gift card and a free dyno-tune is the best thing you can do because men are so picky and the last thing you want to do is pick the wrong part or buy it from the wrong place. And unless you've heard him mention the exact part number and where he wanted it from, your treading on dangerous ground. The gift card says, I support your hobby and passion and I want you to get whatever you want that makes you happy since I'm still learning the ropes and I didn't know exactly what you needed to run 11's. If you say that, he'll melt. And then the other gift is the free dyno so either he hasnt had one yet, or he can get it redynoed after installing the parts from the gift card. And you can go with him to the dyno and show your love and support.
Man, I am a genius. Car cleaning stocking stuffers, gift card, and a free dyno day with the misses!!! What else could a man want??
