Rolling fenders? Tire rub ...

I replaced the tires on my car not long ago, and I went a tad wider (from 225/50 to 245/50) . Because my car is lowered, it now rubs on the passenger front fender. Is there an easy solution to this?

I had thought about taking a rubber mallet and thick cloth and just manipulating the fender, but there isnt even hardly a finger gap. Any ideas on how to go about curing this or anyone with experience?

Some body shops have a tool meant to roll the fenders. Call around your area and see. I have 245/50s on mine with B springs and have not had any fender rubbing. I guess maybe I am just lucky?

Finding the 'Fender flairing tool' is the right way to do it.


I used a 5lb sledge, and just hammered the fender lip flat.

find the tool if you can...

if not, i hear a jigsaw will do the trick...

Have them rolled by a body shop....you will be happy with the results.

I did mine with the smaller end of a baseball bat and a towel and just rolled in in by pressing in on it with tire in place

you can do it yourself. I run 10" wide rears with 285 tires.
