I am currently considering removing the after market sun roof on my 2003 mustang GT and return it to factory. The previous owner had the sunroof installed and is nice but I really want the solid roof back. I know from talking to a few folks that this is going to be expensive and I'm prepared for that. My question is...I talk to some people and they tell me that there is no way i'm going to find a body repair shop thats going to get a new skin on there perfect with no "waves". Then of course when I talk to a body shop about the concern, they say it can be done all day everyday with no problems. Guess I'm just looking for some reassurance that it can be done, and be done correctly. I would think body shops do this sort of thing alot seeing that trees and things fall on vehicle roofs all the time.

Also, could anyone tell me a site or name and number for somewhere that sells the factory headliner boards and fabric for a '03 stang?

Thanks in advance for any help/replies.:flag:

The ford dealer? Salvage yards. Try MPS auto salvage. The body shop doing the work can source you the parts too. If the body shops say they can do it. They can do it. Its just metal work. The people who say it can't be done don't know how to properly weld the sheet metal to keep it from warping. This is a job that should be left to a very competant shop who knows their stuff.
