Rotor need turning, need to replace pads too?

Well my brakes have been squeaking and I had a squeak comming from the rear too. Since I was at 30K I took it to Ford to have the 30K service and have them look at the brakes (part of the 30K service so its free).

They told me all the squeaks (even the rear one) is from my brakes since they are glazed. They wanted to charge me $300 to turn the rotors...RIP OFF.

I had a front brake job about a year ago and replaced rotors since they were warped. Rear are still factory stock originals. Recently put on HPS pads on the front since I did not like the ones on there. There was no squeak for a month or so, but the car sat for 6 weeks in the drive way while i was in casts. :notnice:

Ever since then they have been squeaking.

Opinions..Do i need to replace the pads too. Read that if you don't the glaze just transfers from the old pad back to the new rotor and its all over.

Suggestions?

every time you get your rotors turned you need to replace your pads other wise its going to wear wrong or unevenly. And vise verse every time you change your pads i would get the rotors turned

I agree with the other guys but just wanted to add... Go to a speciality brake shop. I'll bet they won't charge you more than ~$150.00 to turn your rotors and replace your pads all the way around.
