I'm going to be putting new mufflers on my car in a couple weeks and I figured since I'm under there I might as well change the tranny and rear end fluid. I was thinking of using Royal Purple in both until I remembered Redline also has a line of oils. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with these. And if so, would you care to comment on them? Thank you.

Between the two...Redline for sure. I currently am running they're "shockproof" gearlube in my diff. and in my tranny. Deffinately good stuff. A chemist I work with knows the man that came up with the formulation for Redline. He says its a good product.

I've tried both. I really like royal purple better.

I just put valvoline 75-90 in the rear end

but in the trans I've traded Redline ATF

but then switched to Royal Purple Synchromax. Shifts are much smoother and the trans doesn't make as much noise. Dont think I wanna spend that much for an oil change in the car though. lol I run mobil 1 5-30 in the engine
