RPM's drop faster with intake spacer?

Hi

There's a thread in tech right now where a guy added the spacer between the intake and throttle body and said that it stopped the hanging idle issue with our cars that Ford programmed in. I did the IAC mod to my car and it made a huge difference. I didn't use a metal plate or any of that nonsense .. I just bought some gasket (that you can cut out), traced the stocker, cut a smaller hole and I have no hanging RPM's.
