Is the aircleaner sticking up more from the 1" carb spacer or from the design of the aircleaner, itself? ... or is the Edelbrock intake significantly taller than a stock intake? Just curious, as I was thinking of going with an aftermarket intake when I go carb'ed on my '84 sometime, but dunno if I'll need to budget for a hood...

Looks good! Where's the video? :)

Nah the aircleaner wouldnt clear my carb or distributor cause i had to buy a fancy air cleaner so it sits higher from the spacer and the aricleaner spacer. Maybe vid this weekend after i get her a bit tuned up. Still buttoning little things up like the dipstick and motor mounts.

nice man, looks good!

I just about got mine ready to run! Just put the NEW rebuilt t5 in yesterday with 0 miles on it! Just have to bolt the exhaust back on and adjust the clutch! ready to roll! I havent drove my car in 3 months! Can't wait!

Well i drove the car for the first time around the block tonight. Car feels strong. I havent driven a v-8 stang in 2 years. I diddnt really get on it i was just checking for leaks.. Idles a little high and runs a bit rich but i will address that tommorrow. It diddnt have a hood on it and a kid in a gto stopped dead in the road just to look at it as i was rolling by. I cant wait till tomorrow im Still smiling ear to ear.

sure its just not the oil pulg? or did it rip out threads? if it did just re thread it while its in the car. i had to do it to my 88.

The stock one just turned and leaked. I bought a rubber one as a temporary fix till i can change the pan but i guess my car has other thoughts on that. Im going to try wrapping the piss out of the stock oil plug in teflon tape and see if it tempararily fixes it.

mine the head snapped off of  drilled it out and re threaded it very slowly so i got all the metal shavings out. then a bigger plug and we were good to go! that oil change only took 4 hours...
