hi to everyone.. i am looking at a 95gt conv with a trick flow topend, cold air, full exhaust,70mm,24lbs..it idles kinda rough...almost wanting to stall but doesnt ..it also doesnt like to be shifted into a higher gear while cruising. slight smell of fuel,.. this will be a trade for my 03954rr.. if i do it

i dont believ the mass air wasdone
would a chip or dyno cure these issues

i spoke with trick flow they said the computer on these years are for the 4.6 and does not work well with these mods without dyno tuning
any one else have experience with these mods and issues related..

thanks a ton for any info!!

So you think it has a meter for 19's but runs 24's? That'd be a nice rich condition.

A tune might help with any drivability issues but wont help with shifts (assuming it's a stick).

Our computers are not for 4.6L motors. The sentiment was right - modifications often dont play nice with the stock puter (they're kinda cam finicky, for one).

If a mod sees this, perhaps they can move it to Tech. I think it's better suited there.

Good luck.

really, you need to get down and dirty with that car and find out what was done so we can better help you...but maybe I (and the rest of SN) can help point you in the right direction

If you have 24 lb/hr injectors....and the stock maf...it WILL definitely not run as good as it should.

Our computers are reallll picky too (just agreeing with JT), Do you know which trickflow package it is? If it's bucking at lower rpms that could be a combo of the cam messing with the computer and the maf not being matched for those injectors. IMHO, assuming stock maf and trickflow package, a tune would make that thing a whole lot more drivable.

Now, the tranny is a whole nother story. Is it not wanting to go into gear at higher rpms?...or is it the same no matter the rpm?

If you could, could you elaborate on the transmission?

best of luck

I'd check for any obvious things like vacuum leaks....first.

You really need to find out if that maf is stock or is one cal'd for 24lb/hr injectors....that could make a HUGE difference.

after that...I'd say get a tune to optimize your power...money well spent
