Runninng near like a champ

Well i changed the wires and fixed the timing. And its almost running like a champ. It backfires when kinda punching it when shifting to the next gear. i also noticed the cap on the dizzy is loose. the cel is on, but i think thats the TPS cuz when i let of the gas and put it in nuetral it drops rpms really quick, any ideas what else to do???

lol more like 5 months. tps sensor was disconected connected but up, would that cuz it to backfire?

TPS input is critical during transient maneuvers. Your dashpot function was probably all jacked up if the TPS wasnt connected.
Now if that's a fix for the problem, I cant say.

How is the cap loose? Are the metal bands not holding it tight enough? I seem to recall Saleen0679 posting that PPI sells a kit that uses little bolts (like chevies use) instead of our little lame clamps. NOTE: that was fox-based info, but things are very similar between the two.........

ok got it running like a champ!!!!!!!!! it was the tps. Now thje only thing is the a/c
