last weekend on my 90 gt I installed a 3 core aluminum radiator and a 2800 cfm electric fan and now my car seems to run hotter. The fan I bought came with a built in thermostat that is copper I thought that it was just suppose to set up next to my radiator because it is in a plastic box that is tight up against my radiator but I heard of some people taking the copper themostat and inserting it into the fins of there rad, is this what I need to do? The instructions that came with the rad said nothing about this but the instructions were not the best I've read either. The factory temp guage will shoot up to the next notch above the halfway mark what gives. The fan has an adjustable thermostat from 180 to 240 and I have it set on 180 does anyone know what each hash mark is on the temp guage I cant seem to figure out how ford is counting. I lowered my car 2", also could this decrease airflow to the radiator causing it to run hotter. Do I have air in my cooling system does it need to be burped. thanks for you help
