Ryan218 Progress thread..lots o pics.

So...if id killed your alternater and battery, you couldnt really push-start it because it wouldnt run...at all. Yeah, you'll have the waterpump pullley, but you wont have a spining fan.

If your friends car died because of an electric fan, then he's got some problems with his car. Are you sure the battery wasnt already about to die?

Thats like turning on your lights to drive at night an having your car die because of it.

yeah if the battery is dead then poping the clutch to start it wont make it run...i say his battery is dead and by popping the clutch its running of the alternator for a sec then dieing again becasue it cant handdle what needs to be put out.

Honestly you have no idea what the hell you are talking about. The lights dim the way it is on a stock 5.0 with the a/c and radio on at night.. Hell even with the a/c off they dim.. Go do a search in the tech forum about an e-fan and see how many people tell you you need to upgrade your alt.. It would drain my friends battery faster than his alt could charge it.. Thus we would have to push start it after.. and what little juice it had would get it started after he unhooked the efan.. If you have any comments or concerns Pm Him his name on here is RAM360 And the water pump pully still creates drag. I had a short belt on my car bypassing the a/c and smog and im lucky if i picked up a 10th in the 1/4er mile.. The stock fan is definately not robbing mor than 2 hp at the most.. BTW If his problems are so bad put your money where your mouth is and come up here and get beat by his car..

How high is it climbing? Maybe your stock fan clutch is worn or try hittinf the gas to spin it. I would sit in florida heat for hours and my car would climb but never overheat. I would rev it once in a while and you would see the temp drop.. Turned out my radiator was clogged..

not allot. i know my clutch fans working, i have a new blade for it too. and i tried revving it a little to spin the fan but it doesent seem to work....

How bout we all dont rain in on ryan218's progress thread. i personally like seeing the prigress and dont want to have to go through 5-6 pages of you guys arguing bout push starting a car and other crap. Thx and have a wonderful day. :nice:

Oh yeah and ryan218, your doin a great job dude....keep it up!!

Hey goober STFU!!! Ryan asked about the e fan and i told him what else needed to be done and then why it needed to be done. Its not my fault some rookie not ryan mind you cant grasp the concept of the stock alt. sucking ass.

after we got back from trails we started on sanding grinding ect... and the rust is a little worse then i though on the passenger fender lip...dont know weather i want to fix this fender lip or just cut it out and weld a new one in ..i think it would be easier to plasma it out and weld a new one in...save alot of time...
what you guys think? what you think would be better?

Hey Ryan. Make sure you take a good look at your torque boxes. Any time a car has rust like that, I'd be nervous about some of the more important structural areas of the car (i.e. torque boxes). May want to take a look, clean them up, and reinforce them now if neccessary, rather than trying to figure out how to put them back after they've separated from the chassis.

He used an 04 cobra irs well beyond your lame ass capabilities. Ram360 = teh win = god... Ram360 > god and your mom..

you say one more comment relating to my parents and i swear to ****ing god you will be met at the door sonner or later and put in your place..

on the plus side ,it looks like there is only factory paint and no body work previous to what you gotta now do:nice:

pretty much

that was one of the first things i looked at when i bought it...they are perfect although i do plan to reinforce them sometime in the near furture..
