Sunday modified the radiator hold down and bent the air conditioning lines, and set back into the bracket to clear belt and pulley. Mounted the Vortech crank pulley

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT think about romping on the throttle after its installed. I blew my heads off the block just a few days after the blower was installed. Get it on a dyno first. Get it tuned then let it rip. It probably won't run if your using 42# injectors on the stock computer anyway.

Hi
Yes I am using a 4.1 disk in the FMU. I should be around 500 RWHp and my son had 525 RWHP similar setup and had to use an FMU, he just put in 60#'s, bigger fuel lines and rails. I hope to make a run at the tuners with it bypassed but have been told by them that I will need the FMU??

It doesn't matter, it was my fault not getting it tuned properly. Now get to work on the Volvo.

Hi,

An update
Jay and I worked last night. Got the Vortech, alternator, upper intake installed, oil lines plumbed to vortech, hose installed between vortech and T/B. Starting to look like something is being done . Ran into a few fitment problems with the MAF and vortech intake. The lightning MAF is a larger diameter than the stock, so need an adapter, for the air intake, also had to solder the pig tail into the harness. Also needed SCT chip for the MAF, got a basic tune put on it to get from Jay's to dyno, that was programed yesterday, by Mike at Paul,s.

Getting excited now.

that depends on your ignition and fuel setup. truthfully, if you are going to baby it to the shop, the timing doesnt really matter since you wont see any boost. more information on your setup is needed to give you an accurate answer though.

Hi,
I took my chip out and took it to the tuner (Pauls Automotive Engineering)and had them put a base tune in. Then they will refine it on the dyno! (my son also works there) I need a base tune because I went to a Lightning MAF and 42# injectors. The lightning MAF is tuned by the car computer not calibrated for a particular injector. At least that was the way it was explained to me.
