S197 GT and GT500 Sway Bar Relocation

Apparently, on the S197 GT's one needs to relocate the sway bar mounting bracket in order to allow clearance for a 15" rim (cutting off about 1" or so from the existing rear housing bracket and adding a 1/4" metal interface bracket). Is this the case also for the GT500? I believe the rears are the same to include the metal bracket that is welded to the rear housing.
