Sadie's new mirrors - or why round mirrors suck

When I bought new Sadie, I drove her 70 miles home from Kansas City (through somewhat heavy traffic). She had bullet mirrors and I quickly came to the conclusion that they absolutely SUCK; you can't see squat. I actually bought some 3" blind spot mirrors to put on them just so I could see until I got some better mirrors.

Anyway I just got my new mirrors yesterday and installed them today. They look a lot nicer and I can see a lot better (I'm still going to add some little 2" blind spot mirrors, though).

And FWIW, this is the first time I've ever ordered from Mustangs Unlimited. The mirrors were a lot cheaper through them than anyone else that I checked, they got here really quickly, and when I emailed them with a question about the pricing before I ordered, I got a reply within a couple hours. So I was quite pleased with them.

LOL. For the most part, I like the stock look too, but I also like the idea of being able to see what's around me and not bashing my face in on the steering wheel. And these mirrors are stock reproductions so at least I'm not going too far out there. I really like these better than the other rectangular ones because these are really thin and a lot more delicate looking. The other ones look a bit too bulky. The driver's side isn't remote, but I don't mind since it's not that difficult to roll down the window to adjust it.

I was originally planning on using old Sadie's mirrors (they're a similar style but more square than rectangular). But then I realized that they were chromed plastic ($10 mirrors from JC Whitney ). I wasn't about to drill extra holes in the door for plastic mirrors.
